Challa Venkatesh joined SERUDS in 2020. He was admitted to Joy Home, SERUDS by his mother. Venkatesh’s family used to live in Mumbai before and later shifted to palkuru after his father’s death. After 3 years they shifted to velgodu where his mother currently resides. Venkatesh’s father died after he fell into a river accidentally. His mother Anjanamma took the entire financial burden onto her shoulders because of which she could not take care of her child Venkatesh. She used to work at a farm but the money earned was not enough to support her family and she was not able to provide good education and good environment for Venkatesh’s growth. Before joining Joy Home, Venkatesh used to work at farm during summer holidays till 6pm and then study after his work. He was then admitted to Joy Home because of the financial constraint. He is still not over the death of his father and cries whenever he remembers the incident. Though he is in studying in Telugu medium, he is really good at English and studies hard

Suri joined SERUDS in 2020. His father Peddashekar, who was addicted to tobacco, died 4 years ago due to Tuberculosis . After his father’s death, Chinanna’s mother Someshwari started working more to support the family financially. Because of which she could not take care of her children . Suri used to occasionally work at farms plucking Chilli etc to share his mother’s burden. His mother wanted her two children Chinnanna and Suri to study well and understood that it would not be possible if the children stayed in their village Nannur. So he and his brother Chinnanna were joined by his mother at SERUDS in 2020
