India alone have more than 20 million orphan children and basic necessities like food and shelter is not provided to many as mentioned in our previous blog about Malnutrition and the importance of food donation. Education and medical assistance is a luxury for these children.

This is one name that always pops up when it comes to supporting children. With thousands of campaigns running and crores of revenue flowing purely with an intention to help orphans is worth mentioning. SERUDS is an NGO in India working for the welfare and development of deprived street children, orphans, destitute women, poor old age people. In 2010 they launched a campaign (and are still working to) to provide 500 underprivileged children with education kits every year.

SOS Children’s Villages is an independent, non-governmental, nonprofit international development organization headquartered in Innsbruck, Austria. The organization provides humanitarian and developmental assistance to children in need and protects their interests and rights around the world. provide alternative families to children without adequate parental care. 

CRY Foundation:

Child Rights and you has been working to provide basic rights for the underprivileged children since 1978. In 2019-20, CRY has impacted the lives of over 6.8 lakh underprivileged children in India and are working for more.

Smile Foundation:

Smile Foundation, an NGO for poor child education, is an NGO in India directly benefiting over 15,00,000 children and their families every year, through more than 400 live welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood and women empowerment, in over 2000 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India. Miracle Foundation:

The Miracle Foundation is an international nonprofit organization supporting orphaned children. The organization ensures orphans receive all of their rights, per the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. For the past 20 years, Miracle Foundation has improved the lives of more than 15,000 children and impacted almost 300 orphanages.
