SERUDS Orphanage in Kurnool provides a safe, family-like environment for:

Started with just 5 children in 2012, today it is a three-floor home filled with care, dignity, and opportunity.

💔 A Childhood Marked by Loss & Stigma
Hemalatha’s life began with unimaginable hardship.
Her father, a daily wage labourer working in mines and long-distance trucking, tragically contracted HIV/AIDS and passed away. Her mother, too, became HIV positive.
After her father’s death, the family lost all financial support, relatives refused to accept them
Her mother struggled with illness and even attempted suicide twice
In desperation, her mother considered sending young Hemalatha to work instead of school.
🤝 A Turning Point – Finding JoyHome. At this critical moment:
A community coordinator identified Hemalatha’s situation. With support from her neighbour Rajeswari and aunt Prameela, she was brought to SERUDS JoyHome Orphanage
