Story:
My name is E.Venkatalakshmamma. I am 62 years old. I got married when I was 20 years old. My husband was a worker in the General Store in Adhoni Town. We have two sons. We lived in a rented house in Adhoni.
My two sons got married, and did not take care of us. My husband got paralysis and was not able to do any work. So I started earning as a daily wage worker [coolie] . I took care of my husband’s health. I had to borrow money from others. Some time later, my husband died due to serious health complications. After that I was not able to repay the loan amount which I had borrowed from others and there was no one to look after me.
So I joined the SERUDS old age home. I help in cutting vegetables and other chores.
